About this Blog

We have created this blog to follow up continuous updates on Dream Act and it’s related immigration news until November’s President Election . With a population numbering in the tens of millions, it proves to be a hot button issue during the 2012 Presidential Campaign. Candidates stance on immigration reform and issues such as the Dream Act, could prove to be a crucial move in what is coming election. Our  goal is to observe both Obama and Romney’s campaign stands on this issue and how they will affect  2012 president election.

Democrat View on Immigration reform:

Democrats believe that as the world superpower, it is a fundamental right for the United States to provide unconditional aid and comfort to the citizens of other nations. Democrats believe in open borders, unconditional amnesty, and that the laws of this nation be curtailed to provide non-emergency assistance and legal forms of identification to foreign nationals.

Republican View on Immigration reform:

Republicans recognize that our nation is enriched by immigrants seeking a better life but also believe that for the greater interest and ensure the security of the citizens of this county there should be immigration laws and policies to securing borders.

Election Platform: Obama Vs Romney:

Even though President Obama has demonstrated his support for the Dream act but it was failed to pass senate  in 2010. On June 15, 2012, President Barack Obama announced that his administration would stop deporting young undocumented immigrants who match certain criteria previously proposed under the DREAM ACT.

On the other hand, Mitt Romney, who has opposed the Dream Act in the past, may potentially look to change his stands on immigration issues now with the election growing nearer. A sign of this is the introduction of the Republican version of the "Dream Act", which was recently introduced by Republican Senator Marc Rubio.

What ever is their intention to garner vote or to genuinely  help potential productive citizen which can provide a economical boost yet to see but immigration reform can be a deciding vote for the candidates.
